Meet Kerynne Vance Media Marketing Manager For Lyon Care

I was born in the dry, hot state of Arizona. I have always been somewhat of an entrepreneur and have always loved that marvelous organ: the skin. In my youth, I would blend oatmeal to make a natural facial scrub and apply honey to my face alongside my girlfriends at summer camp.

In the 1980s, I attended cosmetology school at the House of Michael Beauty Academy in Mesa, Arizona. As I studied the composition of the skin, its optimal pH levels, and other biological facts, I became more and more fascinated.

My mother, my three sisters, and I—all deeply interested in beauty and skincare—would regularly attend product parties for brands like Mary Kay, Avon, and Jafra. At the same time, Merle Norman and all the big department stores carried their own high-end beauty lines. However, we ran into two distinct problems: the party brands caused our sensitive skin to burn with bright red allergic reactions, and the department store lines were far beyond our budget. We desperately needed gentler, higher-quality, and more affordable skincare options.

After learning how to perform facials—and receiving many myself—I recognized the profound emotional and physical benefits of caring for the overall health of my skin. It was then that I determined to care for my skin for the rest of my life. Of course, my beauty regimen has been anything but perfect over the years, but the skin is a remarkably forgiving and resilient organ!

In the early 1990s, I developed a natural lip balm using essential oils, beeswax, and other clean ingredients. Later, in the late 1990s, I decided to become a Mary Kay consultant. However, I felt guilty asking my friends and neighbors to purchase what I considered to be overpriced products, so I never did very well with the sales side of that company.

Because of those experiences, I completely agree with Amy about the crucial need for more affordable, natural options in skincare. I feel incredibly grateful for her rigorous research and entrepreneurial spirit in creating these formulas and building this brand. I am absolutely delighted to join her in helping women feel younger, healthier, more confident, and more beautiful.

As a life coach, my daily work involves helping women rewrite their inner narratives to be full of confidence, optimism, and courage. I believe the core vision of Lyon Care and Amy’s philosophies align beautifully with my own, and I wholeheartedly support the mission of this company and its products.
